Gems Sensors continuous level transmitters use three proven technologies — float (reed switch), non-contact ultrasonic and guided wave radar — each suited to different tank sizes, media types and accuracy requirements.
A voltage divider design uses a staggered series of reed switches. As the float moves with the liquid level, magnets in the float close the switches in a sequence producing an analog output proportional to level. Completely electronic with no external moving parts for reliable, durable remote tank gauging.
Non-contact ultrasonic sensing with no moving parts — ideal for corrosive, sticky or dirty media where contact sensing is impractical. Sound waves reflect off the liquid surface to measure level continuously without touching the fluid.
Advanced radar level sensing technology for reliable performance in the most challenging marine and industrial tank applications. High-accuracy measurement independent of dielectric constant, temperature, pressure and density variations.
